The number of people with less than 20/20 vision is staggering. Indeed, some reports even indicate that as many as half of all American adults lack 20/20 vision. While less-than-perfect vision can certainly be a disability that impedes one’s quality of life, it doesn’t have to be. With vision solutions provided by a qualified eye doctor, even those with imperfect vision may be able to see perfectly.
And vision acuity–or a lack thereof–isn’t the only eye problem that Americans are dealing with; eye diseases like glaucoma and cataracts also permeate society. At Veld Vision Center, our Sauk Village eye doctor provides comprehensive eye exams that are designed to catch all vision problems and eye diseases early in order to provide the most effective treatments available.
Skimping on eye care is something that far too many people do. But failing to keep your eyes healthy and having them looked at by a professional on a regular basis can have major consequences. Indeed, early diagnosis is critical in the treatment of many eye diseases.
In addition to catching and treating eye diseases, regular eye exams can test your visual acuity and ensure that you are getting the most out of your eyes. Being unable to see well isn’t just inconvenient; it can also be unsafe and limiting. We provide solutions to vision loss, including contact lenses and glasses.
Our Sauk Village eye doctor provides comprehensive eye care services for our patients. Our services include, but are not limited to:
We treat patients starting as young as six months of age, as well as geriatric patients. Many of our patients have great vision but continue coming in for preventative care, whereas other patients are undergoing treatment for eye diseases or vision loss.

Most people take their eyes for granted. In fact, if you have good vision, the idea of losing your vision or suffering from a serious eye disease may seem far-fetched. Remember, however, more than half of Americans suffer vision loss, and millions have been diagnosed with serious eye diseases.
The best thing that you can do for your eye health is to see a qualified eye doctor on an annual basis (or more frequently depending upon your eye health).
